Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Unit Porter to join our team in Warrington. This vital role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of our dialysis unit, directly contributing to a positive experience for our patients. You will be responsible for a range of duties focused on patient transport, equipment management, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers meaningful work, regular interaction with patients, and the opportunity to be a crucial part of a supportive healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Assist nursing staff with patient transfers and mobility as required.
  • Move and set up medical equipment, including dialysis machines, trolleys, and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dialysis unit, including patient areas, waiting rooms, and equipment storage.
  • Handle and transport medical supplies and specimens according to established procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of linen and waste management.
  • Provide basic assistance to patients, such as offering water or blankets.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety, infection control, and company policies.
