Job Description

Weber State University is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual for an Entry Level Path as a Student Administrative Executive. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their professional career, offering comprehensive training and a supportive environment to develop essential administrative skills. The successful candidate will provide crucial administrative support to a department, ensuring efficient daily operations and contributing to a positive experience for our students, faculty, and staff. This role is designed for growth, providing a foundational understanding of university administration and pathways for future advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings.
  • Assist with data entry, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memoranda, and other documents.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Assist in the coordination of events, workshops, and student activities.
  • Support students with general inquiries and guide them to relevant university resources.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
