Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team in Tuscaloosa. This entry-level, full-time position is perfect for someone passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through engaging activities and social events. You will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and leading a diverse range of programs designed to promote physical, mental, and social well-being for our residents. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training, but a genuine desire to work with seniors and a creative spirit are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a diverse activities calendar tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
  • Lead individual and group activities, including arts & crafts, games, music, exercise, social gatherings, and community outings.
  • Encourage resident participation in all programs, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Provide one-on-one interaction and support to residents, understanding their preferences and needs.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas and materials.
  • Document resident participation and progress as required.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents during activities.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to ensure seamless resident care and engagement.
