Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Private Piano Teacher to join our esteemed team. This role offers the flexibility to teach students in their homes (within the Hialeah area) or from our dedicated studio, depending on mutual agreement. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized piano instruction to students of varying ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated musician who loves to teach and wants to make a positive impact on students’ musical journeys while managing a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, personalized piano lessons tailored to each student's age, skill level, and learning style.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, and competitions as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians regarding progress and lesson plans.
- Maintain a professional and encouraging learning environment.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for lessons, whether home-based or at the studio.
- Stay current with piano pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in piano performance and theory.
- Demonstrated ability to teach piano effectively to diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Reliable transportation if opting for home-based lessons.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching private piano lessons.
- Familiarity with various piano curricula and teaching materials.
- Ability to teach additional instruments or music theory.
