Job Description
Seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Part-time Station Assistant to join our team in Morecambe. This role focuses on providing excellent service to our passengers during weekend hours, ensuring their journey is smooth, safe, and enjoyable. You will be the friendly face of Northern Trains, assisting with inquiries, managing platforms, and contributing to the overall efficiency of station operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to passengers with inquiries about train times, routes, and ticketing.
- Assist passengers with disabilities or special needs, including boarding and alighting trains.
- Monitor platforms for safety, cleanliness, and security, reporting any issues promptly.
- Manage crowd control during peak times or service disruptions.
- Operate station equipment such as public address systems and information screens.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Handle minor incidents and emergencies according to established protocols.
- Sell tickets and provide information on fares when required.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
