Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and issuance of procurement documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), tenders, and contracts.
- Support the evaluation of bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with public procurement policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor information.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding procurement inquiries and status updates.
- Help monitor contract performance and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and innovative procurement solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures.
- Learn and apply Hydro-Québec’s ethical guidelines and best practices in all procurement activities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (French and English proficiency preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A keen interest in learning about procurement and supply chain management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (completed or in progress).
- Familiarity with public sector procurement principles or regulations (an asset but not required for this trainee role).
- Previous administrative or office experience.
