Amazon Logistics is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for an Entry Level Logistics Driver position in Lexington, KY. You will start by familiarizing yourself with logistics operations, assisting experienced drivers, and undergoing a structured training program to acquire the skills and license needed to safely operate our fleet of vans and small trucks. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training programs to obtain a valid driver's license and learn safe driving practices.
- Assist experienced drivers with route preparation, package loading, and delivery coordination.
- Learn to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and vehicle.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages once licensed and assigned a route.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and commit to obtaining a valid driver's license within a specified timeframe.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (approx. 23 kg).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be 21 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer service or physically demanding role.
- Familiarity with the Lexington, KY area.
