Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks essential to the patient's health and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary instructions.
- Remind patients to take medications as prescribed.
- Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the patient.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Build rapport and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) certification OR Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with current auto insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Home Health Aide or CNA in a home care setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish)
- Strong organizational skills
