Job Description
Are you a motivated individual looking for an active and rewarding role? Britannia Movers International in Brighton is seeking energetic and reliable Movers/General Labourers to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a reputable company with a strong local presence. No prior experience is necessary – we provide full training and support! You’ll be instrumental in helping our customers with their relocation needs, ensuring their belongings are safely and efficiently transported.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and carefully pack, load, and unload household goods and office equipment onto and off removal vehicles.
- Handle furniture and other items using appropriate moving techniques and equipment.
- Ensure items are properly protected and secured during transit to prevent damage.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a polite and professional demeanor at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including organising and maintaining storage areas, when not on moving assignments.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for lifting heavy items and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manual labour or customer service role.
- A full UK driving license (Class B) is a plus, but not essential.
- Experience operating moving equipment (e.g., trolleys, dollies) is beneficial.
