Job Description
Are you passionate about patient care and looking to start a career in healthcare? CVS Health is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to learn the essential skills of a Pharmacy Technician with paid training and support to earn your PTCB certification. No prior pharmacy experience is required – we will provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Accurately input prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
- Manage prescription inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Process patient requests and provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and company policies.
- Participate in paid training programs and study for the PTCB certification exam.
- Support the pharmacy team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician Trainee license in Kentucky (CVS Health will assist with this process).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Arabic).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
