Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised support to individuals with autism, based on their unique care plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in accessing community activities, education, and employment opportunities.
  • Promote communication and social interaction, understanding and adapting to individual communication styles.
  • Help individuals manage challenging behaviours through positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development and review of support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals you support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care or support role (voluntary or paid).
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum conditions and positive behaviour support.
