Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Center Porter to join our team at Spire Manchester Hospital. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout our boutique clinic. You will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our hospital, contributing to a positive experience for both patients and staff. This position requires a compassionate individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds between departments.
- Move medical equipment, laboratory samples, and patient records as required.
- Assist with the collection and delivery of clean and soiled linen, catering supplies, and waste.
- Respond promptly to requests from medical staff, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients during transport.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties involving lifting, pushing, and prolonged standing/walking.
