Job Description

As a Forklift Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training on operating forklifts safely and efficiently, contributing to our crucial warehousing and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all required forklift training and safety programs.
  • Learn to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, stacking, and moving products and materials within the warehouse.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
  • Support inventory management by accurately counting and documenting materials.

Required Skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Basic literacy (reading and writing English).

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not mandatory, but a plus).
  • Familiarity with basic computer systems.
