Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Studio Recording Engineer to join our elite team at our cutting-edge recording facility in Park City, Utah. This is a unique opportunity to work with top-tier equipment and contribute to high-profile projects spanning film, television, music, and digital content. The role primarily involves night shifts, requiring a professional who thrives in a focused, nocturnal environment and possesses an unwavering commitment to sonic perfection. You will be instrumental in capturing, mixing, and mastering audio that meets the highest industry standards, working alongside talented artists, producers, and creative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a wide array of top-tier recording studio equipment, including consoles, microphones, preamps, and digital audio workstations (DAWs).
  • Set up and tear down recording sessions efficiently, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and ready for use.
  • Record, mix, and master audio for various projects, adhering to specific creative and technical guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with artists, producers, and directors to achieve desired sonic aesthetics.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with studio equipment and software promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment.
  • Implement best practices for audio signal flow, gain staging, and acoustic treatment.
  • Archive and manage audio files and project data securely.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and audio engineering techniques.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a recording engineer in a high-end studio setting.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live).
  • Expert knowledge of microphone placement techniques and signal processing.
  • Demonstrable experience with large-format analog and digital mixing consoles.
  • Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio theory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a critical ear for audio quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Pro Tools or other relevant audio software.
  • Experience with surround sound mixing (e.g., Dolby Atmos).
  • Familiarity with film scoring and post-production audio workflows.
  • Portfolio demonstrating high-quality recording, mixing, and mastering work.
