Job Description

Join AccentCare as a dedicated Home Health Aide and become an essential part of our patient care team in New Port Richey, Florida. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying patient areas.
  • Help with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary guidelines are followed.
  • Administer medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
  • Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Skills

  • Valid Home Health Aide certification in Florida.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
  • Ability to lift and move patients with assistance as needed.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish, Creole, or other languages prevalent in the community).
  • Previous experience working as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
