Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of Marks & Spencer, providing excellent customer service, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring our store is always well-presented and inviting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about helping customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers with their needs.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system, including cash and card payments.
- Assist with stock replenishment, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and products are correctly displayed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or escalate them to management as needed.
- Assist with visual merchandising to ensure product displays are attractive and up-to-date.
- Support promotional activities and seasonal sales.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily goals and sales targets.
