Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Flow Meter Prover. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates eager to learn and grow within the industrial measurement and control sector. You will receive comprehensive technical training to become proficient in proving and calibrating various types of flow meters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role is critical in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable measurement solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive technical training on flow meter proving methodologies and equipment.
- Assist senior technicians in the calibration and proving of flow meters according to established procedures and specifications.
- Learn to operate and maintain various proving systems, including master meter provers and volumetric tanks.
- Document calibration results accurately and maintain detailed records of all proving activities.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality assurance standards at all times.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of proving equipment as instructed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
- Travel to client sites as needed to perform on-site proving services (under supervision initially).
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn complex technical concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational training in a technical field (e.g., Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical Technology).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
