Job Description
Join MetLife as an Actuarial Science & Mortality Modeling Intern and gain invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and validation of mortality tables and models.
- Conduct data analysis using statistical software to identify trends and insights.
- Support the actuarial team in pricing, reserving, and financial reporting activities.
- Participate in research projects related to demographic trends and risk factors.
- Prepare clear and concise documentation of actuarial methods and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects as needed.
- Learn and apply actuarial methodologies and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated interest in the actuarial profession and insurance industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams (e.g., SOA P, FM).
