Job Description
Join the FedEx Ground team as a Package Sorter in Wesley Chapel, Florida! We are currently hiring for all shifts and looking for motivated individuals to start ASAP. As a crucial part of our operation, you will be responsible for handling packages, ensuring they are sorted correctly and efficiently for their next destination. This is a fast-paced environment that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring proper placement and scanning.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with or without assistance).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, warehouse environment.
- Basic English literacy and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or package handling role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
