Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources (HR) Director to lead our HR initiatives and operations for our key facilities within the Rugby, Warwickshire region. As HR Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development. This position is open to international candidates, and visa sponsorship will be supported for eligible individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that support the overall business strategy and growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee talent acquisition, retention, and development programs, including succession planning and leadership development.
- Manage complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and legal compliance.
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
- Drive organizational change management efforts and support business transformation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national employment laws and regulations.
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- Develop and manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on all HR-related matters.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HR Director or in a similar senior HR leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with organizational development, change management, and talent acquisition.
- Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and data analytics.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in HR or Business Administration (MBA).
- Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPD Level 7, SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience working within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record of supporting visa sponsorship processes and managing international talent.
