Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented E-commerce Personalization Engraver to join our production team in Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced laser engraving machines to personalize a wide array of products ordered through our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a crucial role that directly impacts our product quality and customer satisfaction, requiring precision, technical aptitude, and a creative sensibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor laser engraving machines to personalize various materials (e.g., wood, metal, acrylic, glass) according to specific order requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Prepare design files for engraving, including proper sizing, placement, and format adjustments using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
- Manage inventory of engraving materials and supplies, reporting shortages and assisting with reordering.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the e-commerce and design teams to optimize personalization processes and product offerings.
- Ensure timely completion of orders to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating laser engraving machines or similar CNC equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator) for file preparation.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications and production orders.
- Mechanical aptitude for machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
