Job Description
As a Night Porter at one of Hastings Hotels’ prestigious resorts in Belfast, you will be a crucial part of our overnight operations, ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests and the smooth running of the resort. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a secure environment with potential for on-site accommodation, supporting our commitment to employee well-being. You will be responsible for maintaining the resort’s high standards of service and security during the night hours, providing assistance to guests, and handling various operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of the resort premises, guests, and property throughout the night.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
- Conduct regular security rounds and monitor CCTV systems.
- Assist with late-night check-ins and early check-outs.
- Perform light cleaning duties and set-up for the morning shift.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents calmly and effectively, following established procedures.
- Prepare and serve continental breakfast items for early risers if required.
- Liaise with the reception and other departments for seamless handover.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift and move luggage and other items.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, security, or customer service role.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- A valid UK driving license.
