Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Specialty Professionals to join our growing team at HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland. This role encompasses a variety of advanced practice disciplines, including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), and other specialized healthcare roles. Successful candidates will provide expert clinical care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the advancement of patient outcomes within their respective specialties. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up, within the scope of practice for the respective advanced practice role.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Perform specialized procedures relevant to the area of practice, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and institutional standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for other healthcare staff as appropriate.
Required Skills
- Current Advanced Practice licensure (NP, PA, CNS, etc.) in the State of Texas.
- Board certification in the relevant specialty area.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited advanced practice program.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient caseload.
- Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an acute care setting or specialty practice.
- Experience with HCA Healthcare systems and protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership potential or participation in clinical committees.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
