Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in developing custom applications, themes, and integrations that extend the capabilities of the Shopify platform for our diverse portfolio of clients, many of whom are leading e-commerce brands. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet our clients’ unique business needs and enhance the end-user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify applications using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or other relevant technologies.
- Implement bespoke Shopify themes and sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React/Vue.js).
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with Shopify stores and applications.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional Shopify experiences.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Shopify applications and themes.
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, APIs, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding Shopify solutions.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Shopify development.
- Proficiency in Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js or Vue.js.
- Solid understanding of Shopify API (Storefront API, Admin API).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting Shopify themes and apps.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
- Familiarity with server-side languages like Ruby on Rails or Node.js for app development.
- Knowledge of e-commerce best practices and conversion optimization techniques.
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations.
- Shopify Developer Certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
