Job Description

Are you a recent nursing graduate eager to kickstart your career in a supportive and structured environment? Our New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona, offers a comprehensive transition-to-practice experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world clinical practice. This program provides extensive mentorship, didactic education, hands-on clinical experience, and peer support to ensure your success as a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the RN Residency Program, including didactic sessions and clinical rotations.
  • Provide direct patient care under the guidance of experienced preceptors and mentors.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment data.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.

Required Skills

  • Current or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records (EHR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Previous healthcare experience (e.g., CNA, PCT, medical assistant, externship).
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or involvement in student nursing organizations.
