Job Description

Our New Graduate RN Residency Program at Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona, offers a comprehensive transition-to-practice experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world clinical practice. This program provides extensive mentorship, didactic education, hands-on clinical experience, and peer support to ensure your success as a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the RN Residency Program, including didactic sessions and clinical rotations.
- Provide direct patient care under the guidance of experienced preceptors and mentors.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment data.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Current or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records (EHR).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous healthcare experience (e.g., CNA, PCT, medical assistant, externship).
- Demonstrated leadership potential or involvement in student nursing organizations.
