Job Description

Provide empathetic and confidential text-based support to 16-year-old teens, addressing their concerns, questions, and offering guidance on various topics including mental well-being, academic challenges, peer relationships, and future planning. This role requires excellent written communication skills, a deep understanding of teen issues, and the ability to maintain a supportive and non-judgmental online environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with teens through text-based platforms, providing immediate and effective support.
  • Listen actively and empathetically to understand their concerns without judgment.
  • Offer resources, information, and guidance on a range of topics relevant to 16-year-olds.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all safeguarding protocols.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate supervisory personnel following established guidelines.
  • Document interactions accurately and concisely.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to youth support and online safety.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in using text-based communication tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
