Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Gutter Cleaning Assistant to join our growing team in San Jose, CA. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to learn. As a Gutter Cleaning Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our clients’ homes by ensuring their gutter systems are free from debris and functioning correctly. Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting lead technicians, safely handling and positioning ladders, clearing out leaves, dirt, and other blockages from gutters, and performing basic clean-up tasks. This is an on-site, full-time role that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights. Key Responsibilities
- Safely set up, stabilize, and relocate ladders as directed by the lead technician.
- Assist in the removal of leaves, twigs, dirt, and other debris from gutter systems.
- Help clear downspouts to ensure proper water flow.
- Handle and transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Perform post-job clean-up, including bagging debris and tidying the work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with lead technicians and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and tools.
- Assist with other general property maintenance tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders and roofs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor labor, construction, or general maintenance is a plus.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with various types of ladders and their safe operation.
