Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Hospital Concierge Porter to join our patient experience team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for VIP patients and their families, ensuring a seamless, comfortable, and dignified experience from arrival to departure. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, managing logistics, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting our commitment to superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcome and assistance to VIP patients and visitors upon arrival.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for VIP guests, ensuring discretion and efficiency.
  • Assist with patient transport within the hospital using wheelchairs, trolleys, or walking aids as needed.
  • Escort patients and visitors to various departments, clinics, and wards.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely and smooth transitions for VIP patients.
  • Handle inquiries, provide information, and address concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Assist with the delivery of patient belongings, mail, and other items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of reception areas and common spaces.
  • Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer assistance.
  • Act as a liaison between patients/families and hospital departments to resolve issues promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer service, hospitality, or concierge role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, tact, and empathy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer systems for record-keeping.
  • A proactive and helpful attitude, with a commitment to patient satisfaction.
  • Physical ability to push wheelchairs and assist patients with mobility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical environment.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of the hospital layout and services.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
