Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Mud Engineer Associate with a strong focus on chemical analysis to join our dynamic team in Darlington. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing drilling fluid systems through rigorous chemical testing and analysis, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized chemical analysis of drilling fluid samples on-site.
- Monitor drilling fluid properties (e.g., density, viscosity, pH, fluid loss) and recommend adjustments.
- Prepare detailed reports on fluid analysis results and system performance.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used for chemical testing.
- Collaborate with senior mud engineers and drilling teams to troubleshoot fluid-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all operations.
- Assist in inventory management of drilling fluid additives and chemicals.
- Participate in training and development programs to advance technical knowledge.
