Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented WFH Apple Software Tester to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications developed for the Apple ecosystem, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS platforms. Your focus will be on comprehensive QA testing, identifying and accurately tracking bugs, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from your home office in Leicester.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and test cases for Apple-specific applications across various devices and OS versions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Perform regression testing, retesting, and verification of bug fixes to ensure resolution without introducing new issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with Apple's latest software updates, guidelines, and testing best practices.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews for Agile projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software testing, with a strong focus on QA methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of the Apple ecosystem (iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS).
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana).
- Familiarity with test case management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Experience with automated testing tools for Apple platforms (e.g., XCUITest, Appium).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of Swift/Objective-C or other programming languages.
- Experience with performance and security testing.
