Job Description
Are you seeking a physically engaging role with excellent hourly pay and consistent work? XPO Logistics in New Port Richey, Florida, is looking for dedicated Container Loaders to join our team. As a Container Loader, you will be crucial to our operations, responsible for efficiently and safely loading and unloading containers, ensuring proper handling of goods, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight manually or with the aid of equipment, ensuring proper handling and care of goods.
- Stack and organize products efficiently within containers and warehouse spaces.
- Verify counts and condition of goods being loaded or unloaded against shipping documents.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely and proficiently (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor role.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
