Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Localization Analyst to join our content localization team. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality of multi-language audio mixes and subtitles across our vast content library. You will analyze localization data, manage workflows, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver an authentic and immersive viewing experience for our global subscribers. This position requires a deep understanding of linguistic nuances, cultural sensitivities, and technical aspects of audio/visual localization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analysis of localization quality, identifying trends, issues, and areas for improvement in multi-language audio and subtitle mixes.
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end localization workflow for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with content creators, post-production teams, and external localization vendors to align on linguistic and technical specifications.
  • Conduct linguistic and technical reviews of localized assets to guarantee accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and seamless integration with visual content.
  • Develop and implement robust quality assurance processes and metrics for localized content.
  • Contribute to the refinement of localization style guides, glossaries, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve localization-related issues, working with engineering and product teams as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in localization and streaming media.

Required Skills

  • Fluency in at least three languages (English plus two others) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in localization, quality assurance, or project management within the media and entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of localization workflows, tools, and technologies (e.g., CAT tools, TMS, audio/video post-production basics).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep appreciation for linguistic nuance and cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience with audio mixing, sound design, or video editing software.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Familiarity with specific regional content consumption patterns and preferences.
  • Experience working with remote, globally distributed teams.
