Job Description

Join UPS as a High School Delivery Partner and become an essential link in supporting education within your local community of New Port Richey. This specialized role focuses on timely and secure deliveries to high schools, ensuring that vital educational materials, supplies, and other necessary items reach their destinations efficiently. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with school administration and staff, understanding their specific needs, and providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport packages and materials to assigned high school locations within the New Port Richey area.
  • Maintain a consistent delivery schedule and ensure punctuality for all designated stops.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with school staff, administrators, and the central UPS team.
  • Handle packages with care, ensuring their integrity and security from pick-up to delivery.
  • Verify delivery contents against manifests and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness.
  • Assist with loading and unloading packages as required.
  • Identify and report any delivery or vehicle maintenance issues promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in navigating local routes and using GPS devices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with the New Port Richey area and its school districts.
