Job Description
Are you passionate about Artificial Intelligence and eager to kickstart your career in Machine Learning? Qualcomm is offering a unique 6-month paid internship opportunity for aspiring Machine Learning Trainees. This program is designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of ML concepts and a strong desire to learn and grow within a cutting-edge technological environment. As an ML Trainee, you will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in one of the most exciting fields in technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Machine Learning Engineers with data collection, pre-processing, and feature engineering tasks.
- Support the development and implementation of machine learning models under direct supervision.
- Conduct experiments, evaluate model performance, and help analyze results.
- Contribute to the documentation of model architectures, training processes, and findings.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews.
- Continuously learn and apply new ML techniques and tools.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundational understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Solid understanding of linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous coursework or projects involving machine learning or deep learning.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML workflows.
