Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Electric Vehicle (EV) Powertrain Intern to join our cutting-edge engineering team in Greenwich. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of next-generation EV powertrain systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real-world projects that drive our electrification strategy forward. This role is ideal for students passionate about electric vehicles and looking to make a tangible impact in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research, design, and analysis of various EV powertrain components, including electric motors, inverters, and gearboxes.
  • Support the preparation and execution of laboratory and vehicle-level tests for powertrain systems.
  • Collect, process, and analyze data from simulations and physical tests, presenting findings to the engineering team.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to powertrain development.
  • Participate in design reviews and problem-solving sessions, offering fresh perspectives and ideas.
  • Learn and apply fundamental engineering principles to solve complex challenges in EV powertrain integration and performance.

Required Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle electrification, electrical machines, or power electronics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous academic project or personal experience related to electric vehicles or hybrid systems.
  • Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) or motor control algorithms.
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainable mobility, automotive innovation, and emerging technologies.
