Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Healthcare Policy Researcher to join our Public Sector & Healthcare consulting team in Stamford, CT. This role focuses on analyzing clinical data, healthcare policies, and regulatory reforms to provide insightful recommendations to clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, excellent research skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable policy advice. You will contribute to projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency through evidence-based policy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of existing and proposed healthcare policies, regulations, and clinical guidelines.
  • Analyze large datasets related to clinical outcomes, healthcare utilization, and cost-effectiveness to identify trends and inform policy recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other communication materials for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in the healthcare sector at federal and state levels.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including consultants, data scientists, and clinical experts, to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and focus groups to gather qualitative data on policy impact.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership and white papers on emerging healthcare policy issues.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) or data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) for clinical data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, including its regulatory, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Economics, Political Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with federal or state healthcare agencies, non-profits, or consulting firms in a policy-focused role.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, health information technology, and population health initiatives.
  • Project management experience.
