Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Pastry Chef / Chocolatier to join our culinary team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual, with visa sponsorship available, to showcase their artistry and contribute to the high standards of our hotel’s patisserie and dessert offerings. You will be responsible for crafting exquisite pastries, desserts, and chocolates that delight our guests, working within a dynamic and supportive kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and present a wide range of desserts, pastries, and artisanal chocolates for hotel restaurants, banquets, and special events.
- Develop new and innovative recipes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other culinary team members to coordinate menu development and service.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in pastry and chocolate techniques.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chocolatier in a fine dining or 4/5-star hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and chocolate tempering.
- Exceptional creativity and an eye for detail in presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Food hygiene certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or relevant professional certification in pastry arts.
- Experience with international pastry styles and flavors.
- Portfolio of previous pastry and chocolate work.
- Leadership experience in a pastry kitchen.
