Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making across various business units. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data manipulation tools, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. You will be instrumental in identifying trends, evaluating performance, and recommending data-driven solutions to optimize our financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and interpret data from various sources to identify patterns and trends.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data insights effectively.
  • Perform in-depth statistical analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data analysis tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and data optimization.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analytical efforts.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and other teams.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modelling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with financial services data and industry regulations.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
