Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Experienced Care Workers to join our team in Chelmsford. Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes.
- Administer medication as per care plans and company policy, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Support residents with social and recreational activities, promoting engagement and mental stimulation.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and daily records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Assist with light domestic duties as required, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting (e.g., care home, hospital, domiciliary care).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong observational and reporting skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience with medication administration.
- First Aid qualification.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
