Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic individual looking for a fun and flexible part-time role? Gelato Messina in Newcastle is seeking an energetic Ice Cream Server to join our friendly team. This position is perfect for students or anyone seeking flexible hours in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You’ll be responsible for serving our delicious gelato, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting store atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Scoop and serve gelato, sorbet, and other dessert items accurately and aesthetically.
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper till reconciliation.
- Prepare waffle cones, toppings, and other accompaniments.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the serving area, display cabinets, and customer seating areas.
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed, reporting low stock to management.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as cutting fruit or making sauces.
- Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
