Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Online Community Manager to join our team, focusing specifically on weekend engagement. This 100% remote role involves actively monitoring, moderating, and engaging with our vibrant community across various online platforms during Saturday and Sunday hours. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive, inclusive, and active environment for Audible listeners, responding to inquiries, and identifying trends to enhance our community experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves connecting with people online and has a strong understanding of community dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and moderate online forums, social media groups, and comment sections to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Proactively engage with community members, initiating discussions, answering questions, and building rapport during weekend shifts.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues, negative feedback, or critical trends to the relevant internal teams.
  • Respond to user inquiries and feedback in a timely, helpful, and brand-consistent manner.
  • Gather community insights and report on engagement metrics and sentiment.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and customer service teams to align community initiatives with broader company goals.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience (1+ year) in online community management, social media management, or content moderation.
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics, etiquette, and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Reddit) and community management tools.
  • Availability to work consistent weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with audio content, podcasting, or audiobook platforms.
  • Familiarity with Audible's products, services, and user base.
  • Basic analytical skills to track and report on community engagement data.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation within online environments.
