Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Houston, TX. This role is critical in ensuring that all manufactured components and finished products meet stringent quality standards and specifications. The successful candidate will perform detailed inspections, document findings, and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using various measurement tools and techniques.
  • Verify product compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results, identifying defects, non-conformances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and generate reports on inspection findings.
  • Operate and calibrate precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies during inspection activities.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and report generation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or relevant certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
