Job Description
Are you passionate about data and eager to kickstart your career in technology from the comfort of your home? CGI Inc. is seeking a motivated WFH Data Analyst Junior to join our innovative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience in data analysis who are keen to learn and grow. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to learn and contribute from anywhere within Quebec. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various sources.
- Perform preliminary data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights under supervision.
- Create basic reports and visualizations to communicate findings to internal teams.
- Support senior analysts in developing and maintaining data dashboards and metrics.
- Learn and apply new data analysis tools and techniques as part of an ongoing training program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing routine checks and validation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- A foundational understanding of data concepts and their importance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with any programming language (e.g., Python, R) or SQL is a plus.
- Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) through coursework or personal projects.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
