Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Deck Furniture Support team member to assist in the unpacking, inspection, and assembly of our extensive range of outdoor furniture. This hands-on role is crucial in ensuring our products are ready for display and customer purchase, contributing directly to a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unpack and meticulously inspect all deck furniture components for quality, completeness, and any potential damage.
- Accurately assemble various types of deck furniture according to detailed instructions and diagrams, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Ensure the stability, safety, and proper functionality of all assembled products before they are made available to customers.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding product assembly, care, and features, providing friendly and knowledgeable support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve daily operational goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and responsibly for furniture assembly tasks.
Required Skills
- Proven manual dexterity and excellent physical stamina to handle and assemble furniture components.
- Exceptional ability to follow detailed written and visual instructions precisely and accurately.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools commonly used for furniture assembly.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality, defect-free assembly and product presentation.
- Effective verbal communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in furniture assembly, carpentry, or a similar hands-on role in a retail or warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with IKEA's product range and assembly methodology.
