Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Policy Simulation Aide with a strong focus on Work From Home (WFH) Tech Support to join our innovative team. This entry-level role is perfect for an individual passionate about public policy and technology, eager to contribute to meaningful projects from a remote setting. You will play a crucial role in assisting with policy simulation models while providing essential technical support to our remote workforce. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in both policy analysis and IT support within a dynamic, global consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, execution, and analysis of policy simulation models using various software tools.
- Provide front-line technical support to remote team members, troubleshooting WFH setups, software issues, and connectivity problems.
- Document technical solutions, policy simulation processes, and user guides for internal knowledge bases.
- Collaborate with senior policy analysts and IT specialists to optimize simulation performance and resolve technical challenges.
- Perform data entry, data cleaning, and basic statistical analysis to support policy research initiatives.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data used in simulations and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance understanding of policy domains and simulation methodologies.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of public policy concepts or social sciences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fundamental knowledge of IT troubleshooting for common hardware and software issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience (academic or professional) with simulation software or data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, Stata).
- Experience in a remote customer service or technical support role.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Slack.
