Job Description
Embark on an exciting journey as a Fairground Worker with Wade Shows Inc.! This seasonal role offers the unique opportunity to travel across the country, working at various state and county fairs. You will be an integral part of setting up, operating, and dismantling our world-class attractions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient setup and breakdown of carnival rides, games, and concessions.
- Operate various carnival attractions responsibly, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service to fairgoers, answering questions and ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work areas and attractions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately for games or concessions, if assigned.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment as directed.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve operational goals.
- Travel to different fair locations throughout the season, potentially for extended periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel extensively for the duration of the season.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor events, construction, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with tools.
- Customer service experience.
- Valid driver's license.
