Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at Hilton in Swansea. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong knowledge of cocktails and drinks, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests’ experience by creating memorable moments through your craft and engaging interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Hilton standards.
- Interact with guests in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Process guest orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
- Adhere to all local and national liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktail recipes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., Personal Licence in the UK).
- Experience with POS systems.
- Knowledge of local Swansea attractions and offerings to provide recommendations to guests.
- Additional language skills.
