Job Description
Join Waymo as a Self-Driving Car Photo Tagger and contribute directly to the development of autonomous vehicle technology. This is a critical remote role where you will meticulously label and annotate images and video data from our fleet of self-driving cars. Your precise work ensures that our AI systems accurately perceive and understand the world around them, making self-driving cars safer and more intelligent. This is a smart working role, offering flexibility while requiring dedication to high-quality output and strict adherence to guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tag and annotate objects (e.g., cars, pedestrians, traffic signs, lane lines) in 2D images and 3D point clouds.
- Categorize various elements within complex driving environments with exceptional precision.
- Maintain high levels of data quality and consistency by following detailed annotation guidelines.
- Identify and escalate unusual or challenging annotation scenarios to team leads.
- Participate in feedback sessions to improve annotation processes and tools.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets while upholding quality standards.
Required Skills
- High level of attention to detail and meticulousness.
- Strong visual perception and ability to distinguish subtle differences in images.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to quickly learn new software tools.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods on repetitive tasks.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with data annotation, image labeling, or similar tasks.
