Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Pharmacy Call Center Representative to join our remote team, specializing exclusively in chat support. This role focuses on assisting patients and healthcare providers with pharmacy-related inquiries, prescription statuses, benefit clarifications, and general information. This position does NOT involve dispensing medication; your primary focus will be providing excellent service through written communication, ensuring clarity and accuracy in every interaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming chat inquiries from patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers regarding prescription services, medication orders, and pharmacy benefits.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate information on prescription status, refill processes, prior authorizations, and general pharmacy questions.
  • Navigate multiple systems and databases to research and resolve complex pharmacy-related issues.
  • Document all customer interactions and resolutions accurately and thoroughly in the designated CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate unresolved issues and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and other privacy regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed established performance metrics for chat response times, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written communication and typing skills.

  • Proficiency in navigating computer systems and multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and de-escalate stressful situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or chat support role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy operations.
  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
