Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tally Clerk to join our warehouse team in Temecula, CA. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and recording shipment data, ensuring the integrity of our inventory and logistics operations. This position focuses exclusively on warehouse data management and does not involve phone-based customer service or communication. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count and tally incoming and outgoing freight, packages, and parcels.
- Verify quantities against shipping manifests, invoices, and other documentation.
- Record all relevant shipment data, including item descriptions, quantities, and locations, into the warehouse management system (WMS) or designated logs.
- Identify and report any discrepancies between physical counts and documentation to appropriate supervisory personnel.
- Organize and maintain accurate paper and electronic records of all tallied items.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment if required (e.g., pallet jacks) after proper training.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to perform accurate data entry and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with spreadsheets and data entry systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
